Be silent before Me. Isaiah 41:1
We need to remember when we pray that God also like for us to LISTEN.
We live in a very noisy world. Everyone is telling us that we must succeed, we must become something special, make a lot of money, have a lot of power, and in general keep one month ahead of the Jones. Even our worship can be noisy. Our songs, our attitude, and our behavior can all invade our spirit to close down and have nothing to hear.
Somewhere and in some way God wants us to pause, put ourselves in listen and spend some time allowing Him to invade our spirit and get a word into our lives if even edge wise.
Stop, Listen; maybe then we will be able to hear and act.
